Mr. Jongwon Yi is from Everett area where he attended Cascade High School. From there, Mr. Yi attended University of California at Berkeley for a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After that, Mr. Yi attended University of Iowa through a full scholarship. There he was an editor to the Journal of Corporation Law. However, he was most interested in assisting and representing the common person. He was interested in helping the regular people of the world instead of companies and corporations. In his first year of Law School, he gained experience working for the King County Prosecutor’s office in the summer. In the second year, he worked for a large Seattle/Tacoma firm that ultimately would end up being his first full time job as an attorney.
Mr. Yi is proud of the bigger cases but he is just as proud to represent the small cases. Mr. Yi is a member of the Korean American Bar Association’s Board of Directors and has been since 2001. Mr. Yi is also an Eagle member of the Washington State Association of Justice.
At that firm, Mr. Yi gained tremendous experience being a part of a litigation team that included multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for personal injury, discrimination and other plaintiff’s cases. He learned from the best. After a few years, Mr. Yi has and is involved in many high-profile cases like the Mijoo bus case as well as the Ride the Ducks case.
